First job

Nicholas Cale • Dec 01, 2020

This is a subtitle for your new post

My first job operating as Wash and Mow carried out successfully, with one happy customer when completed.
On this job I carried out a full clean of all windows, frames and sills, as well as the rear sun room bi-folding doors and windows, using the water fed pole system and pure water. The soffits and barge boards were also given a wash down, and the front and back doors were included free of charge for this customer.
I was also asked to give the large array of solar panels a clean, which gave the opportunity to put my new 45 foot-reach, carbon-fibre pole through its paces (not to mention my stretching muscles, to manoeuvre the pole over the conservatory roof!!!).
Altogether, a satisfying job completed, and then on to the next job.
Give me a call if you’d like a quote to clean your windows.

I hope that we have all survived the winter weather and the recent storms that caused so much destruction around the county in the last few weeks. The good news is that with the arrival of March, and hopefully some better spring weather, I am now restarting my regular mowing schedule for the new season. I have just received my mowers back from their winter maintenance, and I am looking forward to re-starting regular mowing appointments from this week. Last year was the first season of mowing for me after starting my business at the end of 2020, and I am grateful to all my valued customers for their continued support and custom, and also for the successes of my first year in business, having survived through all the difficulties and challenges that we have all faced over the past year. If you have been one of my regular customers during the 2021 mowing season, I will be getting in touch with you in the next few days to confirm arrangements for the start of the new mowing season, and to fix an appointment for your first cut of the new season. If you are not already one of my lawn care customers but would like to enquire about having your lawns cut, or your garden cleared and strimmed, then please do get in touch to arrange for me to come and give you a free quote for carrying out your lawn care work.

At last, a lovely sunny dry day after all the recent wind and rain. Very excited to be trying out my new mower to carry out the first cut of the season on this lawn. It's a bit early in the season for a first cut, and for that reason I only gave a very light cut on a high blade height setting. It's very important not to cut your lawn too short, and put your grass under high stress, at this time of the year. I've created a short video of how I carried out this mow, including strimming the edges, and blower-sweeping the paths and patio to tidy up afterwards. You can view this video at the top of my Blog page. I will be starting my mowing season for clients next month (March), so please get in touch now to get a quote for having your lawn mowed, and to book a regular mowing schedule for the coming season.

With the approach of Spring, it will soon be the start of the new mowing season. I will be launching the mowing side of my business next month (March), alongside my existing window cleaning round, and I am excited to be trying out my new mowers for the 2021 season, pictured here with my strimming and hedge trimming equipment, as well as my water-fed-poles and window cleaning equipment. I have just started taking on clients for my lawn mowing schedule, so please get in touch now to arrange a free quote for having your lawns mowed, and to book a slot on my scheduled mowing round. It is also a good time to get your garden tidied up, and I can help with hedge trimming, brush cutting, shrub pruning and strimming, before the growing season gets into full swing, whether or not you want me to follow it up with a regular mowing schedule throughout the coming season. Please get in touch for a free quote for your individual garden mowing needs.

Two weeks after the launch of my Wash and Mow business, and things have started really well. I have already had several window cleaning jobs, with clients happy with the results of my work, and I've also had a couple of hedge trimming and pruning jobs booked to be carried out as well. Now, with Christmas approaching fast (!), I just wanted to remind you that I'm still available to give you a free quote for cleaning your windows and conservatories, and there's still time before Christmas for me to come and carry out a clean, ready to have lovely, crystal clear windows to look out through on Christmas Day, as you enjoy your celebrations in your extended, family, household, socially-distanced 'bubbles'. Give me a call, or send a message to request a quote or book a clean. ( Contact me ) And I wish you all a happy, peaceful, Covid-free Christmas.

All kitted out and set up ready to start work on the first day of business. That’s two carbon-fibre water-fed poles, 21ft and an amazing 45ft reach, with brush heads attached. Great for reaching high windows and even solar panels and skylights on roofs. In the back of the van is my water trolley with a 100psi pump for getting the water right up to the heights of the pole system, and next to the trolley are eight 25litre water containers holding 100% pure water, produced in my home-based, DI resin filter system. The perfect system for producing great, streak-free, crystal-clear windows! All ready and set up for my first job, and for cleaning your windows too, if you would like. Give me a shout if you would like me to give you a quote for cleaning windows. Thank you.

One week to go!!! Yes, I can't quite believe it, but in seven days I will officially be launching my new business, 'Wash and Mow', and I can't wait to get started on cleaning the windows, mowing the lawns, and trimming the hedges of all you lovely people in and around the Haverfordwest area. This week, I am walking around some of the areas I will be serving, and delivering these flyers, introducing the business, and advertising the services I will be offering. So if you see me around, or if you get one of these leaflets through your letter box, please get in touch to say hello and ask me for a free quote to wash your windows, or care for your lawn and hedges. I look forward to meeting you, and caring for all your front of house needs.
