At last, a lovely sunny dry day after all the recent wind and rain. Very excited to be trying out my new mower to carry out the first cut of the season on this lawn. It's a bit early in the season for a first cut, and for that reason I only gave a very light cut on a high blade height setting. It's very important not to cut your lawn too short, and put your grass under high stress, at this time of the year. I've created a short video of how I carried out this mow, including strimming the edges, and blower-sweeping the paths and patio to tidy up afterwards. With the approach of Spring, it will soon be the start of the new mowing season. Two weeks after the launch of my Wash and Mow business, and things have started really well. I have already had several window cleaning jobs, with clients happy with the results of my work, and I've also had a couple of hedge trimming and pruning jobs booked to be carried out as well. My first job operating as Wash and Mow carried out successfully, with one happy customer when completed. On this job I carried out a full clean of all windows, frames and sills, as well as the rear sun room bi-folding doors and windows, using the water fed pole system and pure water. The soffits and barge boards were also given a wash down, and the front and back doors were included free of charge for this customer. I was also asked to give the large array of solar panels a clean, which gave the opportunity to put my new 45 foot-reach, carbon-fibre pole through its paces (not to mention my stretching muscles, to manoeuvre the pole over the conservatory roof!!!).
